Monet's garden
Claude Monet (1840 -1926) was a French Impressionist painter. The term Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting Impression, Sunrise. In 1883 he moved to a house in Giverny, Eure, in Haute-Normandie. At this place, he planted a large garden and he painted a lot of views of this garden. This garden is fomous for Monet's garden. In 2000, the replica of Monet's garden was planted at Kitagawa_village in Kochi prefecture.
